Companies with more than 50 workers will have to prepare an Equality Plan, as provided by *RDLay 901/2020, of October 13, and will have to present it, at the latest, in March 2022.

Thus, it will be necessary for companies that meet these requirements to prepare an Equality Plan in which matters such as personnel selection, training, internal promotion systems, professional classification/valuation of jobs, reconciliation of family life, the harassment protocol and the remuneration audit, establishing specific measures for its implementation and supervision.

Companies that intend to contract with Public Administrations will also have this same obligation, regardless of the number of workers on their staff.

Likewise, since April 14, 2021, all companies must have their remuneration register prepared, in order to guarantee equal pay, for jobs of equal value.

Failure to prepare the Equality Plans will be defined as a very serious infraction by the labor authority, in accordance with art. 8.17 of the Law on Infractions and Sanctions in the Social Order (LISOS), being able to impose sanctions of between €7,501 and €225,018.
